Top story: PwC seems to have ended their Women’s Consulting Experience program for undergraduates

PwC Pulls Program: PwC quietly removed its Women’s Consulting Experience (WCE) page, redirecting it to general entry-level programs without explanation.
Conservative Pressure: PwC has faced criticism from America First Legal, which labeled several DEI programs “facially unlawful” and listed PwC as a “woke corporation.”
Diversity Rollback: In early 2024, PwC eased DEI targets and opened scholarships to white candidates after activist and legal challenges.
The new administration’s DEI policies continue to impact the consulting industry.
Reportedly, PwC abruptly removed its Women’s Consulting Experience (WCE) program, deleting the application page last Saturday without explanation. The program’s webpage now redirects to PwC’s main entry-level programs, leaving partners and program leads in the dark. Many speculate the move is part of a broader rollback of DEI initiatives.
The program, set for Spring 2025, targeted female-identifying sophomores and juniors pursuing degrees in business, accounting, and STEM fields. An archived description from USC’s Viterbi School of Engineering detailed its eligibility criteria, including a 3.3 GPA preference and exclusion of prior PwC interns.
The removal follows increasing conservative pressure. America First Legal previously sent PwC a cease and desist letter, calling several of its DEI programs “facially unlawful.” PwC is also the only Big 4 firm listed on AFL’s “woke corporations” page. In January 2024, the firm reportedly softened diversity targets and opened scholarships to white candidates after activist and legal challenges.
PwC has yet to comment on the program’s cancellation.
